A live hat bar is a patch bar with caps to build on. We set out the blanks you choose, trucker or dad-hat style, next to a wall of patch designs made for your event. Each guest picks a cap and lays out a patch or two, and a crew member presses it on while they watch. It feels like a premium gift and still keeps a line moving, which is why it earns a spot at a Canes watch party or a North Hills retail launch.
What a Raleigh hat bar includes
- A styled, photo-ready setup that fits anywhere from a Downtown ballroom to North Hills.
- Caps and a patch wall: your logo patches plus a few extras for guests to mix in.
- Crew who press each hat and keep the line moving.
- The same footprint as a press station: about 10×10 ft and two dedicated circuits.
It fits Hurricanes watch parties, Glenwood South rooftop events and summer outdoor dates, where a cap gets more wear than a tee. The gear ships from Fullerton and the crew lands a day early.
Raleigh hat bar questions
Do guests get felt cowboy hats?
No. Felt hats, hatbands and brim burning belong to western hat bars, and we don't run one. Ours is caps with heat-pressed patches, which is the better match for a tailgate or a summer watch party anyway.
How early should the patch designs be decided?
Early. Custom patches have their own production time, and the kit ships freight from Fullerton with the crew landing a day early, so the patch art is the first thing to settle.
Where does the hat bar work around the Triangle?
Hospitality suites downtown, Canes watch parties in Glenwood South, tailgates by NC State, private parties in the Village District and retail launches in North Hills. It needs about 10×10 ft and two dedicated circuits, the same as a press station.
